Phosphor Bronze Strips Plates Sheets
Bronze plates are widely preferred in various industrial applications due to their durability, wear resistance, and high conductivity. Composed primarily of a copper and tin alloy, this material offers a balanced combination of mechanical strength and flexibility. As a result, it is commonly used in the production of long-lasting and reliable components. Phosphor bronze plates are typically produced in standard sheet and plate formats ranging from 660 mm to 2000 mm in size. However, custom production in different dimensions can also be carried out according to project-specific requirements.
The base structure of bronze alloys consists of copper and tin. In commonly used bronze alloys, approximately 90% copper and 10% tin are present. As the tin content increases, the hardness and wear resistance of the bronze also increase. Conversely, when the tin content is reduced, the material becomes softer and easier to form. This flexibility allows bronze to be tailored for various industrial applications. In some cases, elements such as lead and zinc may also be added to the alloy in specific proportions to enhance properties or optimize cost. These types of alloys are often referred to as red bronze in common terminology.
